Peace World. These are just a few solo joints I did from the days when we were known as the Too Def Crew. I was known as Mic Master Jay back then. See even though my history goes back way before Run DMC (they were the new school to me) we patterned much of our image after Run DMC. There were 2 Emcees and one Dj. One of us was D (Scratch Master D) and one of us was Jay (me). So when Run said "this girl named Carol follows Daryll every gig we play , then he dissed her- now shes jockin Jay" we loved that. Because Scratch Master Dees real name was Daryll , and I was Jay. DMC said on a song "microphone master - super rhyme maker I get def while the others get faker". Well my name was MC Jay at the time , but when DMC said that line I said "Microphone Master" that's what I wanna call myself. So anyway as you will hear in some of our recordings we mos def had great respect for Run & D. I was going through some tapes that I am converting to cd and decided to throw these on up because really only a few people have heard these songs. To the right is audio of a few solo tracks , and below are various videos of the group.Enjoy them - I was between 15 and 17 on most of  them.
